Millennials often get a bad rap everywhere. They get blamed for something new each day, from the death of upscale dining to the housing industry. And of course, they are often seen as a problem to be handled instead of a resource to be harnessed. To educate HR practitioners in the Visayas region, LBP Service Corporation staged Double Click: A Symposium on Meeting the Newest HR Challenges and Leading Millennials, held last in the Manila Room of the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu Hotel last August 23, 2018.
The opening salvo was delivered by PR Expert Ron Jabal as he brought the attendees up to speed with the Millennial subculture from their everyday jargon, to their limitless emotional energy.
Workplace training specialist Nolo Silayan followed through with much needed changes away from antiquated HR practices.
And finally, LBPSC President, Merril Yu tied up the afternoon by imparting wisdom that the onus is on today’s HR practitioners to adapt and to see Millennials for what they truly are: a potent driving force in the workplace. Their penchant to disrupt the status quo can be a source of invaluable insight when seen with the right lenses.
LBP Service Corporation plans to hold more events in Cebu to further showcase its expertise in managing talent in the workplace and to reinforce its presence in the Visayas region.
